RBI is now offering "skills and drills" which are fudamental clinics offered throughout the week. These clinics are for players ages 6-13 and are for all skill levels. We adjust the material being taught to the skill level of each player. The goal is to get mass repetitions to reinforce good habits learned in private instruction and instructional camp sessions. The clinics are ideal to keep players from forming bad habits during both the off-season and during the Fall and Spring baseball, softball seasons. We believe that in order to instruct effectively, the player:instructor ratio should be low and we keep ours at or below 5:1 for these clinics.

Skills and Drills

You will learn and reinforce these fundamentals:
  • Proper before the "at-bat" routine
  • Proper set-up
  • Proper stance
  • Proper balance
  • Proper head position to ensure good vision
  • Proper hand position on the bat for bunting/swinging
  • Proper swing path to the ball
  • Proper contact position of the entire body to increase power
  • Proper practice techniques to improve contact ratio and power

These fundamentals are crucial to being a consistent hitter and we will teach young hitters how to self-check and get back on track when in a slump. We will evaluate each hitter at the beginning of the clinics and work to improve each player on a weekly basis.

We will provide a written evaluation of each players strengths and weaknesses and will help players to build on strengths and eliminate weaknesses.

Also, a written "hitting pointers" packet will be given to each player to reinforce great habits at home!

Remember, the best time to make changes is during the off-season!

-Each four week session runs $120 and players can start the program on any Tuesday, or Thursday as long as there is an opening.

-Players who wish to come twice a week can sign up for both the Tuesday and Thursday session, but must give the program a full four weeks to get the full benefits.

-Each session is restricted to 5 players and there will be no make-up dates.
